Peugeot Announces Paris Auto Show Line-up

French automotive producer Peugeot could not miss the upcoming auto show in Paris, and announced it will display a range of mobility solutions, led by the world premiere of the 508 model, which draws inspiration from the manufacturer’s SR1 concept. Available in Saloon or SW body styles, the 508 comes with a range of engines with power output ranging from 112 to 204 bhp. With the 508, Peugeot will also debut the new e-HDi system, with the HYbrid4 technology also included in the range of fuel efficient technologies. The 3008, the world’s first production diesel hybrid vehicle, will also be showcased by Peugeot at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. Joining the 508 and the 3008 in the carmaker’s booth will be the Peugeot iOn electric vehicle, accompanied by its innovative electric urban concept, the BB1. Electric power will also be reflected with the introduction of its electric motor scooter, e-Vivacity, which will go on sale in 2011, as well as a concept scooter, e-Satelis. These two wheeled attractions are supported by a renewed range of bicycles, refreshed to mark the brand’s bicentenary. Peugeot’s stand will also host its 908 HDi FAP endurance race car, which has just achieved a first and second position victory in the Autosport 1000km at Silverstone - the inaugural race of the new Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) and also winner of the 2010 LMS drivers’ and manufacturers’ championship. Completing the Peugeot range at the show will be a special RCZ Sports Coupe, while visitors will get a view of Peugeot products and achievements over 200 years by taking the special Bicentenary Walkway. autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
