Peugeot 508 Details Revealed

Peugeot has released the full details for the new 508 saloon and estate models that will make their debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.

The 508 range will be available with an engine line-up comprising of two petrol units and four diesel powerplants (all come with a Diesel Particulate Filter) that will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol engine range includes a 1.6 liter VTi that delivers 120 hp and 160 Nm (144 grams of CO2 per km), which is followed by a 1.6 liter THP producing 156 hp and 240 Nm of torque (149 grams of CO2 per Km for the manual box and 164 grams of CO2 per km for the automatic).

The oil-burning side of the line-up includes a 1.6 liter HDI that delivers 112 hp and 285 Nm (109 g/km), a 2.0 liter HDI developing 140 hp and 340 Nm (125 g/km), a 163 hp version of the same engine (149 g/km) and a 2.2 liter HDI with 204 hp and 450 Nm (150 g/km).

The range will also include a model featuring Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology. This will offer 200 hp, four-wheel drive and CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km.

Peugeot has worked to offer a high quality interior, offering special features such as a color head-up display, four-zone air conditioning, as well as keyless entry and startup.
