Tesla made the brilliant decision to exhibit the Cybertruck at many showrooms across the US and even Canada. The decision was hailed by the company's fans, who lined up to see the electric pickup in a show of support unseen in the automotive world since the launch of the Model 3 in 2016.
The lines outside stores have always existed during sales, but the trend wasn't famous until Apple launched the iPhone in June 2007. Since then, people have regularly lined up in front of Apple Stores across the world every time a new iPhone generation was out. However, the pandemic and online retail have recently shortened the lines every year.

During the Thanksgiving weekend, many people have again gathered in line to see a new product, only this time at Tesla showrooms for the Cybertruck. This proves that Tesla's decision to bring early Cybertruck vehicles to showrooms was a genius move. People cheered and shared positive impressions online, proving the Cybertruck could have a halo effect for Tesla. The fact that the pickups on display had a much better fit and finish than the average Cybertruck seen until now certainly helped.

It wasn't quite the "camp out" lines we've seen at Apple Stores, but it was enough to get noticed. Tesla's electric pickup hasn't always seen the love it deserves, with many critics pointing out its many flaws, alleged or obvious. Yet people flocked to see it at many locations, something nobody's done for any other car model except the Model 3 in 2016.

It's crazy that people talked on social media about hitting the roads for up to 5 hours just to get to the nearest Tesla showroom that had a Cybertruck on display. I barely care to drive that long for a vacation, so this kind of commitment that makes people road-tripping to see the Cybertruck is indeed remarkable. This shows that the Cybertruck is much more than another electric vehicle (and a poorly designed one, as some claim). It could be the defining car model of a generation.

Based on crowdsourced information on the "Cybertruck locator," there are currently 15 confirmed locations where Tesla showcased the Cybertruck. Another nine across the US and Canada were marked as "rumored/coming soon" at the time of writing. If Tesla thought the Cybertruck hype would make people order a new Tesla and help with end-of-quarter deliveries, this might actually work.

Tesla is preparing to deliver the first Cybertruck units on November 30, 139 days after it announced the first Cybertruck produced at Giga Texas on July 15. According to the latest information, the event will start at around 2:00 PM CT (3:00 PM EST, 12:00 PM PST) at Giga Texas and will be live-streamed on X and, possibly, Tesla's YouTube channel.
