Passion and Camaraderie at 2011 Bonneville Speed Week

The 2011 Bonneville Speed Week ended last month, and speed freaks from across America and beyond pledged to come again next year an test their metal on the salts. Yet we’re not here to talk about the cars but the people involved with this wonderful challenge for the soul and mind.
For those of you that aren’t familiar with Speed Week and the wonderful people there, you really have to watch this video by Depth of Speed's Josh Clason. The camaraderie between these folks is unlike anything else we’ve seen in motorsport. It’s like they are competing against the limits and themselves, not amongst each other. Enjoying the experience of years gone is far more important!

There’s a guy that came all the way from Canada with only his wife as a ‘crew member’, which show you just how much these guys help one another. People with million dollar cars come help the little guy with a $10,000 car. Nothing like F1 and their endless thirst for cash.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
