SEAT announced that the Exeo range has received a list of enhancements, with the new features scheduled to be introduced at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.

The Exeo (saloon model) and the Exeo ST (station wagon model) now offer an increased interior space for the backseat passengers, as the front seats and the rear bench have been redesigned. The room in the back has now been increased to 44mm with no sacrifice in seating comfort or luggage space.

In addition to that, the Exeo range has the multironic continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR Diesel engine. The multitornic models will enter the market early next year. This model returns a fuel economy of 5.8 liters per 100 km (40.6 U.S. mpg) for the combined cycle.

The electronically controlled multitronic works with continuously variable ratios, enabling the engine to operate consistently at optimum efficiency. For dynamic drivers, it offers a sport program that delivers gear shifting at higher rev speeds, and a manual mode controlled via steering wheel mounted shift paddles. The mechanical efficiency and broad ratio spread of this hi-tech gearbox ensure low fuel consumption and emissions,” stated the press release.

The enhancements list also includes bi-Xenon headlights in combination with LED technology for the taillights and a new 230 V socket located on the center console.

However, the main star of the SEAT Paris Auto Show display will be the electric IBE prototype, with the display also showcasing the Alhambra model.
