The vehicle from the adjacent image is a design study that will greet the crowds at the upcoming Paris Auto Show, but we believe that the production Focus ST, which is expected to hit the market in early 2012, will be (almost) identical.
Under the bonnet, the new hot hatch features a 2.0 liter Ecoboost turbocharged four-cylinder unit that delivers 250 hp. The automotive producer promises that the car will use the ST spirit, delivering top performance in all areas and also screaming like a true road animal (yes, we are talking about an engine sound that should offer one thrill after another).
The vehicle uses a new color dubbed Tangerine Scream, which has been created to emphasize its dynamic personality.
Ford’s Paris display will also include the new Focus family, as well as the fresh Mondeo and C-Max models.
“The launch of the complete new Focus range, plus the global debut of the high- performance ST model, makes this Paris Show not only very exciting for Ford, but also highly significant," said Stephen Odell, Chairman & CEO, Ford of Europe. "With the all-new C-MAX also on the Paris stand, along with the latest Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy models, it's clear that the pace of change within Ford remains as impressive as ever."
