Opel and Vauxhall are preparing the launch of an Audi A6 Allroad competitor based on the recently updated Insignia Sports Tourer. Dubbed Insignia Country Tourer, the new vehicle will feature an increased ride height and a more rugged styling, including extended wheel arches and slightly revised bumpers.
Powered by both petrol and diesel engines just like the Insignia Sports Tourer, the “allroad” Opel/Vauxhall will hit the market with four-wheel drive as an option. As far as the interior is concerned, the Country Tourer will get everything found in the new Insignia.

According to Autocar, the vehicle is expected to have greater success in Germany rather than the United Kingdom. The Opel/Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer will make its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. No other details have been revealed so far, but we'll be right back on the subject as soon as we find out more.
