Although the auto market isn’t going as well as before, 2013 seems to have been quite a good year for Opel as the European market is concerned. It appears that one particular car managed to make quite a big fuss and stood out in the sales area.
We are talking about the little, yet incredibly feisty Opel Adam.Yes, surprisingly this is the car that helped Vauxhall and Opel revive their sales in Europe. According to Peter Christian Kuespert, vice president of sales and after-sales at Opel, the Adam model helped rise deliveries, in Germany alone they selling 21,000 units.
Due to the fact that most Europeans prefer small cars that are far cheaper than sedans and easier to maintain, the Adam was just perfect. So, one can understand why this particular car was Opel’s little star on the European auto market.
Still, this doesn’t mean that the company as well as it’s sister brand Vauxhall are out of the danger area. We all know that they have struggled for quite a long time to maintain market share and Adam’s success won’t change things that much. They still need to bring new products as well as redefine their market strategy.
