One-Off Bugatti EB110 SS Loses All Body Panels, Looks Almost like a Veyron

Back in the 1990s, Bugatti didn't have a Veyron. Instead, they built something called the EB110. Wearing Ettore Bugatti's initial, the 110 was the first car the company delivered since 1947.
Naturally for Bugatti, the hypercar evolved into the EB110 Super Sport, of which only 31 were built. The SS saw the output of the quad-charged 3.5-liter V12 jumping from 550 to 615 hp, while its extreme diet meant it lost 330 lbs compared to the car it succeeded.

One of those 31 customers still didn't find his Bugatti special enough, so he turned to German aftermarket developer Brabus in his search for extra custom touches.

Last time we talked about the Brabus-massaged EB110 SS, the piece of Molsheim was offered for sale. That happened back in 2013, with the Bugatti, which was found in the UK back then, being listed for an unapologetic $740,000 at the time.

Back in the day when the EB110 SS visited Brabus' facility in Bottrop, the vehicle was gifted with a custom exhaust, as well as a cabin trimmed in Black and Blue leather.

While there are no official details on any mechanical work, we expect the overly turbocharged nature of the V12 to have at least led to a modest output bump.

Well, here we are, looking at this particular EB110 SS once again. As you can see in the piece of footage below, the Bugatti was recently spotted stripped of all its body panels.

Looking surprisingly close to a Veyron when its skin is removed, the EB110 SS by Brabus was spotted while inside the service facility of the O'Gara Coach La Jolla dealer in San Diego, California - that's right, these guys sell Bentleys, Bugattis, Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royce cars.

Is this Bugatti going for a second skin, a respray or a mere wrap? Guess we'll never know the true purpose of its striptease.

P.S.: Those of you curious about how the EB110 SS feels to drive by contemporary standards can check out this story.
