The world of ridiculously tuned cars has no end in sight, and there are several big players out there that would maim your pricey ride, regardless of the make and model, for the right sum. One of them is DarwinPro Aero, which has recently re-entered the limelight with one ugly BMW M4 Coupe.
You see, at first glance, mixing the John Player Special look with the German marque's two-door sports model and throwing in additional carbon fiber bits doesn't sound bad at all. But it is because, well… just look at it.

Sending CSL vibes from certain angles, it has a few add-ons all around that make it look like something that escaped from Mansory's portfolio. It has side canards in the front bumper, a tweaked hood, new side skirts, mirror caps, a sportier diffuser at the rear, a big wing mounted on the trunk lid, fender flares, and a few other bits and bobs that were made of carbon fiber.

The most eye-catching bit, however, is the custom wrap. It mixes black with various yellow accents and has the John Player Special logo on the front doors. Additional decals join the fiesta, too, for an even busier look. As for the one thing we actually like about this BMW M4 Coupe, it is the wheelset. Featuring a gold look, it’s decorated by the brand's retro-ish logo, which can also be found at the front and rear ends of the car.

It may not be as controversial as that salmon-like project we covered last month, but this M4 is certainly far from being a beauty. As the controversial tuner has gotten us used to recently, it hasn't released any images of the cabin, hence why we think it may have escaped their wrath. The same likely goes for the engine, too, and that's all right, as this model does not need any extra power.

In the Competition flavor, which appears to be the original configuration of this Bimmer, the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six gasoline engine produces 503 horsepower (510 ps/375 kW). With rear-wheel drive, it takes 3.8 seconds to accelerate to sixty miles per hour (97 kph). The time drops by four-tenths of a second with the rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive system. The base M4, which has 473 hp (480 ps/353 kW) on tap, can deal with the sprint in 4.1 seconds.

BMW is asking a minimum of $78,100 for the most affordable variant of the M4. The MSRP goes up to $82,200 for the M4 Competition, whereas the M4 Competition xDrive kicks off at $86,300. The M4 is also offered in the M4 Competition xDrive Convertible configuration, from $93,300, and for the M3 Sedan, M3 Competition, and M3 Competition xDrive, you're looking at $76,000, $80,200, and $84,300, respectively.
