I've always liked supporting small businesses and start-ups. So, when I stumbled upon a camper van build made by a couple who started their conversion business not long ago, I knew I had to share it with you.
There are so many companies specializing in camper conversions out there, so it might be challenging to choose one. While the safest bet is to go with a renowned company, I feel like we should also give newcomers a chance.

Meet the Olivia van, the latest creation of TJ's Dwellings, a design studio and a conversion shop. TJ stands for Tony and Jordan, a couple who, as they describe, "love building, creating, and making."

The Olivia van is a Ram ProMaster converted into a tiny home on wheels. The couple's purpose when creating this camper was to make its interior feel warm, organic, modern, and, most importantly, simple and functional. I'd say they succeeded, but let's see if you feel the same.

On the outside, it seems like this camper looks pretty standard, finished in white paint and with no elements that hint toward its camper DNA. I used "it seems" because I couldn't find a clear exterior view of the vehicle, just a glimpse of its sliding door.

Anyways, even if the exterior was heavily outfitted, the best part of this camper would still be the interior. Once you pop the sliding door open and step inside, you'll be in the foyer. Unlike most campervans, which have a kitchen counter blocking part of the entrance, this rig boasts a very spacious entryway. Moreover, you'll notice a large flip-up table integrated into one of the nearby cabinets, as well as a ceiling Maxxair fan.

Starting with the driver's cabin, you'll notice a dividing wall separating it from the living space. There's also a partition door that enables you to enter the cabin without having to first exit the vehicle.

The next part of the interior is the wet bathroom, located dead ahead of the entrance. I love that instead of going for a conventional door, the couple devised an arched doorway complete with a Nautilus sliding door. Inside, you'll discover a composting toilet and a mount for a solar-powered shower bag.

So, unfortunately, there isn't any plumbing for a fixed shower, but that's because this van's customer didn't want one. I don't see the point of having a wet room without plumbing, as it takes up too much space, but to each their own.

By the way, the design in the bathroom is on point, boasting a river stone floor and cedar walls, which give off a spa-like vibe. The tasteful design isn't limited to the bathroom – the whole interior was well-thought-of, with striking pale blue cabinetry, a predominantly white aesthetic for the walls and ceiling, and beautiful design elements such as a tiled white backsplash and cabinets with rattan inserts.

Walk deeper into the interior, and you'll find yourself in the kitchen, which is devised on both sides. It features a decently sized butcher block countertop, a granite matte black sink, some drawers and cabinets underneath, and two sizeable overhead cabinets. The sink is operated via a foot pump, and its plumbing system is housed directly underneath it in a cabinet.

On the opposite side, you'll notice additional storage spaces in the form of two huge drawers, a small Dometic fridge, and a cabinet holding the rig's electrical system, a Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro. Another notable feature is a floor-to-ceiling unit with five shelves.

The Jackery portable power station has a 2,160 Wh capacity and a 2,200 W (4,400 W peak) Output while weighing a mere 53 lb. (19.5 kg). What's more, it's connected to 400 W solar panels on the roof and can also be charged via shore power.

And finally, we have the lounge/bedroom area at the very rear. It comprises two couches, one on each side, with a massive table in between. What's more, if you lower the table and rearrange the cushions, you can turn it into an extra bed.

Look above, and you'll notice an elevator bed with a Castle Winch electric lift system. It provides a bunch of sleeping space for two people, and you don't even have to make the bed up; just lift it, and it's hidden away from sight. Furthermore, you can pop the rear doors open and enjoy the beautiful views from the comfort of your own bed – just make sure to turn off the lights, or else your rig might get filled up with insects.

All in all, TJ's Dwellings built a fantastic mobile home with an efficient and cozy design, good utility systems, and plenty of storage compartments, all packed into a relatively tiny space. Regarding pricing, a conversion similar to this one will set you back anywhere from $45,000 to $60,000 (€41,528 to €55,370), depending on the options and features. You can find out more about TJ's Dwellings on the company's website.
