Oceanco's already impressive portfolio of unique watercraft has been enriched with the addition of Clarity, one of the first yachts in the Dutch shipyard's new 262-foot (80-meter) Simply Custom collection.
Designed by Monaco-based studio Espen Øino International, Clarity is an innovative project that combines modern elegance and cutting-edge technology. The result is a striking superyacht with beautifully simple lines and an energy-conscious smart design that confirms and boosts Oceano's reputation as one of the world's leaders in the realm of luxury yachts.

The Simply Custom collection, presented during the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, was born out of the yard's desire to offer its clients a simplified and more streamlined approach to yacht design. It provides a proven naval platform on which esteemed designers can build distinctive yachts that are uniquely tailored to each owner. Basically, the Dutch yard offers designers a canvas for creating their own Oceanco yachts. This new approach sees collaborations between the Dutch yard and renowned design studios such as Espen Øino, Sinot, Harrison Eidsgaard, and Nuvolari Lenard.

Clarity is one of the early yacht concepts in the Simply Custom fleet and represents a balanced fusion of individuality and advanced technology. The key elements of the design are simplicity and functionality. Designer Espen Øino explained that, "When asked to participate in designing a yacht for Oceanco's Simply Custom collection, my team and I were inspired by one word: SIMPLE!" As a result, the yacht features a contemporary profile with clean lines and an imposing silhouette.

But the new yacht stands out from the crowd with its innovative energy-efficient design that incorporates "very large overhangs in the superstructure to provide shade and to reduce the heat gain inside the vessel on the decks below." Moreover, the technical foundation for Clarity, and the whole Simply Custom collection, comes with an advanced, all-electrical propulsion and energy architecture system, so the designers of this new yacht used the excess surfaces above to install photovoltaic cells and solar panels.

Despite its impressive volume of approximately 2,500-2,700 GT, Clarity doesn't look bulky at all. Its guest areas span five decks designed for socializing and entertaining big groups.

The yacht has an optimized hull designed by Lateral Naval Architects and features extensive shaded exterior areas, such as lateral-opening balconies, for sunbathing, socializing, relaxing, and taking in the surrounding sea views.

Guests onboard will enjoy a stunning main deck lounge that is envisioned as a spacious winter garden that opens up to the outdoors to leverage the wind as natural ventilation. "The overall objective [is to] to reduce the onboard energy consumption and increase the renewable part of the onboard energy production," comments the designer. Equipped with efficient generators and a stabilization system, Clarity will ensure exceptional efficiency and a comfortable cruising experience for its guests.

Like all the yachts in the Simply Custom fleet, Clarity is configured with an owner's master cabin on the upper deck and six guest staterooms on the main deck. In terms of interior design, the first renderings unveiled by the company show a minimalist approach with light woods and neutral shades for a relaxed atmosphere.

Modern, luxurious amenities will also be part of the design, including a swimming pool on the main deck aft, a forward helideck, an expansive beach club with sunpads, and a dedicated garage for tenders and water toys.

In terms of performance, Clarity is expected to reach a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14-15 knots, with an estimated range of 5,000 nautical miles (9,260 km) at 14 knots.
