Coming as a smart alternative for those considering a compact SUV, the TSX Sport Wagon takes center stage in Acura’s stand at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The vehicle not only offers better fuel economy, but also provides comparable cargo area to many compact SUVs.

Performance wise, the 2.4-liter four cylinder engine produces 201hp at 7000 rpm and 170 lb.feet of torque at 4300 rpm. The unit is mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission. The vehicle delivers brisk performance while achieving an estimated 30 mpg (7.84 l/100km) on the highway.

Standard features include a leather-trimmed interior, premium seven-speaker sound system, XM radio, USB audio with iPod integration, Bluetooth connectivity and a power moonroof. Optional features include sat-nav with voice recognition and rear-view camera, an ELS surround audio system, GPS-linked solar-sensing climate control and a power liftgate out back.

In addition, the TSX Sport Wagon offers a multi-configurable rear cargo area (with numerous hidden storage areas), and a low lift-over height allowing for easy loading and unloading.

“With the new Sport Wagon model, sport-sedan styling and added utility are combined- a perfect mix for those who lead an active lifestyle. For such customers, the TSX Sport Wagon reflects their passion for performance and athleticism while also supporting their active social lifestyle with roomy, comfortable seating for five,” Acura brags.

“Incorporating a unique high-rigidity rear body structure with a special hoop-style cross section, the TSX Sport Wagon simultaneously provides excellent body strength,”
the company further adds.
