NY Dealer Crashes Customer’s Rare Koenigsegg CCX

Some could consider themselves lucky for just seeing one of this supercars in person, so the news of a wrecked Koenigsegg CCX is nothing but outrageous. Especially if the one responsible for the accident was not even the car’s owner. However, a New York dealer managed to crash his customer’s 2008 CCX when it took out for a spin.

According to wreckedexotics.com, he ended up crashing into a guardrail. Like that wasn’t enough, he also damaged a 2009 Porsche GT2 in the process.

The Koenigsegg CCX is one of the rarest and fastest supercars in the world. The Swedish super car maker only produces 25 examples of their mid engine V8 powered 800+ HP vehicles per year and an even more limited number of units make it stateside. The engine is mated to a transversal six-speed gearbox, with optional paddle-shift.

All these features enables the supercar to reach a top speed of 395 km/h and go from 0 to 200 in less than 10 seconds.

The two-door, two seater with removable hardtop stowable under the front hood lid, has a body made from pre-impregnated carbon fbre/kevlar and lightweight reinforcements.

Standard features include dual airbags, power windows, rear wing, adjustable pedals and steering column, adjustable seats in rake and length, carbon ceramic brakes with ABS, hydraulic lifting system, power steering, power brakes, satnav, rear camera, DVD, CD, I-pod connec- tion, sat radio, climate control, digital warning and info system, G sensor, alarm, tire monitoring system, silver key, leather carpets, roof stowage bag, car cover.

Taking all the aforementioned aspects into consideration, the $1 million price tag on such a ride is quite understandable. However, we cannot help wondering how the insurance claim for the wrecked example is going to sound like...
