Many of the drivers who indulge in the pleasures offered by the Nurburgring often forget the Green Hell nickname of the German track exists for a reason. The latest example of this comes from what used to be a mint-condition R34 Nissan GT-R Skyline.
We're dealing with a V-Spec here, which is not that far from the V-Spec II Nur edition the automaker dedicated to the 'Ring, so you can imagine this is a perfect tool for lapping the infamous circuit.

However, the ATTESA E-TS "wonder" all-wheel-drive introduced by the Japanese engineers back in the day isn't everything, since things always rely on the element sitting between the steering wheel and the pedals. However, as we'll explain below, the crash in the footage present here isn't the kind that could easily see one pointing a finger at the driver.

The video shows the GT-R entering a corner in a state of extreme understeer. While we can accuse the driver of having allowed this to happen, the following events saw the man not making the rookie mistake of slamming on the brakes once the rear end eventually stepped out.

Alas, the guy behind the wheel didn't go for a full spin induced via the handbrake, which is the version we see as fit for a potential save (yes, we are aware of the fact that mid-skid clarity might be difficult to achieve). The R34 thus ended up hitting the barrier on the side of the track. And no, it hadn't lost all its speed by then.

The machine was seriously affected by the accident - those of you willing to zoom in for more details of the damage should check out the second video below. This shows the Nissan being taken away on a platform, and while it might be hard to watch, it does provide extra details.
