Canada isn’t exactly the Midwest, but they like NASCAR racing just as much, with no shortage os supporters. However, a surprising decision has occurred and there will be no more racing in Montreal next tear.
Octane Management, the Canadian company that has promoted NASCAR for the past six years has ended their collaboration with the sport, so right now, there’s no NASCAR in Canada for 2013. Alternatively, the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Toronto could potentially host the venue, but nothing has yet been announced.

“NASCAR appreciates the support and enthusiasm the great fans of Montreal have shown during our six years of exciting racing at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. It’s been a great run for the NASCAR Nationwide Series at this historic venue,” NASCAR said.
