After Ford and Dodge, GM has also revealed a new 2013 race car for the NASCAR series that shows more than a passing resemblance to the road-going version. We’re talking about an uber-cool Camaro. But unlike the 2013 Fusion, which is built for the Sprint Cup, this is or the nationals, yes, for the Nationawide Series.
"The Camaro Nationwide race car incorporates many of the distinctive styling elements of the production Camaro, including the unique power-bulge hood and deep recessed grille. In addition, the design incorporates the distinctive halo light rings and dual-port grille appearances, and the gold bowtie," says Jim Campbell, vice president of Chevrolet performance vehicles and motorsports.
The racing Camaro will debut in Daytona, and until then Chevrolet will put it through rigorous testing in the wind tunnels to ensure optimal performance.
