Scheduled to be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in about a week or so, the 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo will be a heck of supercar. At least that’s what the Japanese automaker claims, especially since it was revealed that the new iteration will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in only two seconds.
It’s early to make assumptions, but this will qualify the 2014 GT-R Nismo for a new, astounding Nurburgring lap, likely below the 7-minute mark. Could it beat Porsche 918 Spyder’s 6:57-minute lap? Again, it’s too early to make a guess, but Nissan will give it a hard try. Probably this is why the company’s first teaser of the GT-R Nismo zooms in on the Nurburgring track. The 5-minute clip doesn’t show the actual car, but we get the picture...

Little is known about the 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo, but recent reports claim it will receive an new exhaust system and carbon fiber trim among other updates. Stick around for more details as the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show kicks in next week.
