Only little is known about the Nissan Qazana Concept but even so, the Japanese manufacturer struggles to catch our attention with various teasers launched every once in a while. So, a new photo was published today together with the official announcement that the company will be displaying the new concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show that opens its doors in March.
Unfortunately, only a few things can be spotted looking at the teaser but what we do know is that the Qazana will feature gigantic fog lights with blue hue, small side mirrors and, let's name it futuristic, front fascia. Nissan says Qazana would be best described as a small crossover given all its features and, even if it sports suicide doors, it's unlikely to see such a feature on a production model (we're living during recession times, people want fuel efficient engines and low gas emissions, no need for such fancy features).
"The difficulties currently facing the car industry have been widely documented, and Nissan has not been immune. As a result we have had to make some difficult decisions, but the reason we have done so is to secure a long and positive future for the plant. Qazana points the way to that future and gives an indication of the unique and exciting car we will be producing in Sunderland next year,” says Trevor Mann, Nissan Senior Vice President for Manufacturing in Europe.
Nissan claims approximately 57 million pounds have been investedt in the Qazana concept, with the Nissan Sunderland plant expected to start mass-production by early 2010.
In addition to this concept, Nissan also announced that the Geneva Motor Show will mark the European debut of the new 370Z and the new Cube.
