The Japanese manufacturer's all-new C-segment hatchback made its world debut back in May, but rumors according to which a hot Nismo variant is also in the works have been finally materialized with the following spy shots. Our carparazzi managed to spy the 2015 Nissan Pulsar in Nismo guise days before its unveiling later this week at the Paris Motor Show.
According to our team of spy photographers, the car was presented completely undisguised to a few auto journalists. Even though the pictures provided only show the front fascia of the Japanese model, that's enough evidence Nissan is going to duke it out big time in the competitive world of hot hatches.
It's very easy to see that the demonstration vehicle is finished in a stealthy matte grey exterior hue, while the front bumper incorporates a gloss red lip spoiler, big air intakes at the sides adorned with LED daytime running lights, high performance discs, rotors and red brake calipers, with the addition of black and silver twin five-spoke alloys. Needless to say, the look of the Pulsar Nismo is extremely aggressive.
Technical data is still scarce at the present moment, but we got a few hints about what to expect from the Nismo. Some reports hint that the powerhouse that'll propel the Pulsar Nismo will be the same 1.6L DiG-T that powers the Juke Nismo RS with 218 ponies.
But another report coming from a Nissan insider hints at a newly-developed 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that'll churn out about 266 horsepower. Nevertheless, the curtain will fall in a few days' time and we'll find out exactly if the Nissan Pulsar Nimso has what it takes to pose a threat to the VW Golf GTI, Ford Forcus ST, Renault Megane RS and Opel Astra OPC.
