When the Nissan GT-R R35 was introduced in 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show, nobody would've guessed its U.S. price tag would hike from a mere $55,000 to a whopping $101,770 the 2015 GT-R Premium is selling for. Nevertheless, there is a very neat, similarly priced alternative to the standard model.
The car you can admire in the gallery below is one of only 150 Track Edition GT-Rs from the 2014 model year that received the Switzer treatment. Though this not a 1,000+ ponies tune you normally see on Switzer GT-Rs, the P800 package is way more reliable than its more extreme brothers. As the name suggests, Switzer kept it nice and tidy with 800 horsepower on tap, up from the standard 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition's 545 horsepower.

Being a range-topping trim level, this example of the breed comes with all the goodies one can expect from the GT-R R35. In this regard, we'll mention the 20-inch light alloy rims and high-performance run-flat tires from Dunlop, as well as lots of carbon fiber instrument panel inserts and metal accenting throughout the cabin. To be fair though, the super snug seats are the real stars of the show here. Another nice addition to have on a Nissan GT-R is the rear parking camera.

Priced at $109,900 and showing just 3,895 miles on the odometer, this deep blue pearl 2014 Nissan GT-R Switzer P800 also comes with a Nissan bumper-to-bumper warranty through June 2016, as well as a 2-year/24,000-mile Switzer Performance warranty. Best thing of all? 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) comes in as low as 2.1 seconds with the right setup.
