Manufacturers these days like to improve their cars over the course of their ‘shelf life’, giving them new headlights, bumpers, interior trim and gadgets. However, some manufacturers don`t do this every time for every car.
Nissan is one of those manufacturers, and the updates they`ve brought to their Murano SUV relfect that. For the 2013 model year it gains a whole host of ‘Safety Shield’ technologies, such as Moving Object Detection, or MOD, Blind Spot Warning (BSW) as well as Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – they are available on the LE Platinum Edition trim, or with the SL Navigation Package.

Other updates include an all-new Value Package, for SV models, which gives the SUV an electrically-operated rear tailgate, a nine-speaker Bose audio system and sat-nav – it costs $2,270, which saves customers some $830 over the price of buying each separately.

Last on the updates list are two new colours, called Midnight Garnet and Gun Metallic, the latter being the color of the car in the pictures.
