Nissan Adds Bottom Line Deals Alongside CARS Rebates

After we reported earlier how Nissan plans to focus its marketing strategy for the Leaf EV it was only normal that the Japanese car maker would facilitate that premiere by drastically reducing its current stocks of conventional-powered vehicles.

And how better to make your products more attractive if not with the help of government incentives and rebates. Following the announcement that CARS (Car Allowance Rebate System) will continue with a government supply of 2 billion dollars, Nissan North America Inc. began on Friday a new “Bottom Line” Model Year End Sales Event campaign.

Through this campaign Nissan of North America tries to further benefit from the government's scrappage program by drawing consumer attention to its vehicle lineup eligible for CARS as well as limited time leasing and cash back finance offers.

“The nation’s top publications have taken notice of Nissan’s compelling, high quality, high excitement vehicles. Now it’s time for customers to see what the media has been raving about, while taking advantage of some great model year-end offers. We want people to know that Nissans are the more exciting choice and they’re on sale now”, said Christian Meunier, vice president, Nissan Marketing.

The campaign is scheduled to run throughout the month of August and represents the 8th consecutive year when Nissan handles a Bottom Line Sales Event.

The advertising campaign to raise awareness of Nissan's offers includes national and cable television spots, national interactive media shopping, search site ads, direct mail and in-dealership support.

Some of the notable deals include the 2009 Nissan Altima, ranked highest among mid-size vehicles in the J.D. Power and Associates’ 2009 Initial Quality StudySM, with $1,500 cash back or a $199/month lease. Also eye catching are the Nissan Sentra with a $149/month lease and the Nissan Versa for under $10,000 offers.
