Nope, this is not filed under “April Fools” - it’s true: a nine-year old used a toy gun to steal an electric vehicle in Sweden. It all happened in the Gothenburg suburb of Kortedala, Western Sweden, where the boy tried to break into an EV and failed, subsequently moving on to a second EV, which he managed to drive away in (not the one pictured here), after threatening by-passers with a toy gun, which the kid claimed was loaded.
The adults he had treated followed him in a 30 km/h (19 mph) chase, but the child crashed in a roundbout, after driving for about ten minutes. He tired to flee the scene on foot, but was captured and held there until the police arrive.

The boy is to young to face criminal charges, so the issue is now set to be sorted out by the social services and we're really curious to see how this story will end.
