Yes, cheaper electric scooters begin to show up, and that's truly good news. So we're introducing to you a new proposal for 2013: the Nimoto Trendy R, soon to be available for €2,999 ($3,893) as a base price.
Base price means you get only one 30 Ah 48V Lithium-Ion battery, but if you're smart, you'll fork out some €300 ($389) more for the second one and boost your Nimoto scooter range to 90 km (56 miles).
The Trendy R is moved around by a 1.5 kW engine which can make you go as fast as 45 km/h (28 mph). The Nimoto Trendy R weighs in at 93 kg (205 lbs) with one battery; add in some 5 kg (11 lbs) for a second one. The batteries usually charge in 6 hours, but you can get 80% in just 2, using the independent charger.
