A little bit earlier we were talking about how BMW wants to turn the next Z4 into a car with more sporty driving assets and it’s now time to move to Audi, which also wants to transform its next A4 in a similar manner, but regarding the design area.
Auto Motor und Sport recently talked to Audi design chief Wolfganag Egger, who said that the aerodynamics have to be improved and that the styling will inspire speed. However, the executive didn’t offer too much details on the styling cues of the next D-segment Audi.
Audi has to step up the A4’s game, as the current generation has lost the sales battle with the Mercedes C-Class and the BMW 3-Series, at least in Germany. As for what will be hiding under the hood, the future A4 will come with the usual choice of petrol and diesel powerplants, but is also expected to offer a plug-in hybrid alternative.
