New Website For UK's Disabled Motorists Launched

For any disabled person, a car can make the difference between getting about and being stuck in their home, so a new dedicated website has been launched in the UK for those that are unsure what to rent out for themselves a disabled family member.
Disabled motorists and their carers will find it easier to hire wheelchair-accessible vehicles thanks to new website, www.adaptedvehiclehire.com. Created by Adapted Vehicle Hire (AVH), the new customer-focused site provides a wide range of information about vehicles that can be booked, as well as news on the latest offers.

"Our website is focused on the benefits our vehicle hire service brings to people by giving them the freedom to get out and about," says Lorraine Farnon, AVH's managing director. "We have redesigned the site to make it easy to use and provide a new level of information about the support and events we offer the disabled community. The site features our latest offers to help more disabled motorists and passengers enjoy the freedom of affordable vehicle hire."

AVH offers a wide selection of vehicles, from compact ones to larger 4x4 and vans, while a state-of-the-art workshop ensures every vehicle has the appropriate adaptations required for different disabilities.

“A key part of the AVH package is the vehicles and vehicle adaptations that we offer. Unlike other specialist rental companies, here at Adapted Vehicle Hire, we have our own workshop where trained staff, certified in vehicle adaptation, are able to adjust our hire vehicles to meet the needs of our customers as closely as possible. The two main types of vehicle that we are offer are ‘Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles’ or WAVs and adapted cars,” the company boasts.
