New Performance Clothing Range from Nissan

The British division of Nissan has just announced the launch of a new line of clothing, which (it says) it celebrates the “power, heritage and style” of its sports car range. There is a new series of exclusive designer T-shirts that reportedly echoes the performance of Nissan’s 370Z and flagship GT-R models, as well as its motorsport heritage.

The clothing range is available in two colors and styles, and sold only through the Nissan dealer network for the moment.

One design features prominently the number 23, a reference to the Japanese pronunciation of the numbers two and three – ‘Ni and San’.

These numbers have been used on the side of Nissan’s racing cars for many years, including the current GT-Rs competing in the GT1 FIA World Championship and the Japanese Super GT series. The same T-shirt also features ‘Yokohama,’ in celebration of the brand’s hometown and global headquarters.

Nissan is also the Official Vehicle Supplier for the new FIA GT1 World Championship for the inaugural 2010 season with a further option for next year’s season.

This year’s season debuted at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on April 17 and will end at the San Luis circuit in Argentina, on December 5. It will feature two, 2-car Nissan GT-R teams: the Sumo Power (UK) and the Swiss Racing Team (Switzerland), marking Nissan’s comeback into an official FIA World Championship after more than 20 years.

The two styles, one for men and one for women, are each available in two colours, in sizes ranging from S to XL and cost GBP 15 each.
