Having been showcased in Metaverse a few months back, the DarkRebel Concept has now stepped into the real world, with Cupra unveiling it at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Germany.
To make it real, the company's designers went through a staggering 270,000 configurations that were signed by its fans and the brand's ambassadors online shortly after it went official in the digital realm back in April. Between us, the styling is simply staggering, with extremely sharp lines and the occasional soft curve blending into a design that kind of looks like something Lexus would approve.

Featuring a shooting brake body style, Cupra's DarkRebel Concept has a pointy nose with extremely large air intakes in the front bumper, a muscular hood, and futuristic headlamps. The sharp creases continue on the sides, and it is here where they opted for some soft shapes like those on the wheel arches. It has an angular roofline ending with a spoiler, a full-width LED light bar, an illuminated logo, a muscular diffuser, and creases in the rear bumper that mirror the looks of the front one.

The unique wheels are equally dramatic. Featuring some see-through elements, they mix black with copper and sport the company's logo in the middle. And speaking of bespoke stuff, we also have to mention the exterior color, which is violet. The hue changes its tone depending on the amount of light reflecting off it, contributing to the special character of the show car.

Opening the door reveals a very minimalistic approach when it comes to the cockpit. It is dominated by a central spine that was made with 3D metal printing. The DarkRebel features a pair of bucket seats with headrests covered with 3D knitting fabric. They are supported by a structure said to have been made from a crystal-clear material. As you can expect, various copper accents decorate it. There are multiple green materials used throughout the interior, such as the 90% biodegradable bamboo. SEAT's performance-oriented brand also mentions the thermal camera mounted on the roof, which monitors the conditions of the cabin, adjusting the climate control accordingly. Other highlights include the unique steering wheel, UI, and ambient lighting.

Cupra says the DarkRebel Concept packs a 100% electric powertrain, though, for some reason, they chose not to release any details about it whatsoever. Another thing that they haven't mentioned is if the study previews a future production model, so your guess is as good as ours when it comes to this question. Still, we hope they will indeed ready a similar vehicle in the near future, as the world certainly needs more sexy shooting brakes, and the DarkRebel has what it takes in order to become one of the best-looking vehicles in the segment.
