New C-Class Version Courtesy of Lorinser

Another day, another C-Class tuned version, and it really seems like German tuners know no other car maker outside Mercedes Benz. Also, the C-Class seems to be a favorite for whatever reason, and it gets tuned the most and the best.

German tuners Lorinser had been quiet for a while now, not since they came out with the tuned version of the smart fortwo. But not anymore, because we've got the lowdown on their latest creation, a souped-up, restyled version of the C-Class, to go well with all the other C-Class models out there, like the one Brabus made.

The center piece of this tuned version is the 305 hp engine, as Lorinser explains in their rather lengthy press release, which they say has been tuned to perfection. They used mechanical changes over the digital ones, choosing a beefier camshaft over the simple performance chip replacement. And a hoard of Mercedes aficionados thank them for that. This boosts power from 200 kW to 224 kW.

The suspension has been tightened and the exhaust system has been tuned as well, for added performance, but also for a better sound that's guaranteed to make people turn their heads as you roll past.

Visually, they went for a clean, classic, strictly-Mercedes look, which is not too shabby. Still, there are a few elements that seem to break the perfect lines of the car – like the optional RS 9 multi-spoke alloy rims, which would be better suited on an Asian tuned import than on a German exotic.

The body kit ain't that beautiful either, it's sole merit being that it doesn't stand out too much and can go unnoticed if the car swooshes by fast. Overall, the C-Class from Brabus might be a better choice, but you didn't hear it from us.
