Bugatti is undoubtedly a company that wrote history in the automotive sector and anybody who is somebody in the industry heard at least once about this company. Unfortunately, Bugatti is pretty reticent when it comes to designing and launching new models but it may seem like this is going to change very soon. And when we say very soon we really mean it because rumors claim Bugatti will unveil a brand new model this September.
Now, we're sure the Bleu Centenaire edition of the Veyron displayed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show isn't exactly what you'd call a new model. In fact, Bugatti released the car to celebrate its 100th anniversary so a brand new high-performance model would cause quite a stir in the automotive market.
Unfortunately, only a little is known at this point but, given the number of auto shows still on the calendar, the new Bugatti may arrive sooner than we expect. Some say that it may be launched this autumn at the Frankfurt Auto Show but, once again, this is only pure speculations.
The guys over at Autovisie inform, after an interview with Bugatti chief executive Franz-Josef Paefgen, that a completely new production model is expected to be unveiled in 2011 or 2012.
However, Bugatti's official refused to provide more details, saying that "we are working on several projects" without giving us a glimpse into how the future product will look like.
"If someone tries to beat us, we will have an answer ready," Paefgen said, hinting that the upcoming Bugatti model will be once again a high-performance product capable of beating speed records.
