The next-generation Audi Q3 has put on a winter coat for testing in the Arctic Circle. This prototype was captured on camera doing its thing in Northern Sweden, and its camouflage was more revealing this time compared to the one we covered a few months back.
The split headlamp signature is the main thing that sets it apart from its predecessor. The new one has thin DRLs mounted above the main clusters. The grille seems to be smaller, though it could be the trippy camouflage tricking us. Further down, it has a wider lower grille and no visible side vents in the new bumper.

While the front and rear overhangs are about the same length, the roofline was arched towards the rear. We should also note that it still has traditional door handles. Out back, it looks like an evolution of the current one, yet it is obvious that the design of the tailgate, bumper, diffuser, and taillights have nothing in common with its predecessor. The same goes for the rear windscreen, too, which appears to be slightly taller.

Unfortunately, the interior of the next-gen Audi Q3 remains under wraps for now. And even if the current one's cockpit is anything but outdated, we expect the four-ring brand's designers to make it look even fresher. Chances are the infotainment screen will receive a tablet-like design, moving from the central to the upper part of the dashboard. We don't think it will receive the dual screens of the Q6 e-tron.

The model will also get new everything, from the dashboard panel to the steering wheels, door cards, center console, seats, and so on. The technology and safety gear will be improved as well, and the main screens will run new software. For more personalization options, Audi might expand the upholstery and trim selection.

Believed to be based on the VW Group's MQB Evo platform, the next-gen Audi Q3 will launch with multiple powertrain options. The architecture supports gasoline and diesel units, as well as electrified assemblies. Only time will tell what will power it, and it has been reported that there won't be a stick shift option anymore, as all versions are understood to feature automatic transmissions.

Given that the current Q3 is in the 2024 model year in the United States, it is likely that the new generation will launch as a 2025 model. The price should go up a bit, with the outgoing Premium starting at $37,000, excluding destination, options, and dealer markups. The second generation Q3 is offered with two powertrain options in our market, the 40 TFSI and 45 TFSI, both of which use a 2.0L mill that is rated at 184 and 228 horsepower (187-231 ps/137-170 kW), respectively.
