If you're a serious petrolhead, then you certainly know the custom 2013 Ford Mustang GT featured in the blockbuster movie "Need for Speed". That very car was sold by the Blue Oval for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company's West Palm Beach event.
The four-wheel protagonist from "Need for Speed" was used for the entire filming process, as well as displayed all over the world for every promotional stop of the Hollywood feature.

Boasting a custom-designed wide body kit with metallic silver paint and Kona Blue go-faster stripes, the NFS Mustang rolls on unique Forgiato 22-inch alloy wheels. Other design elements include an enlarged lower grille with new air intakes, extended rocker panels, a twin-snorkel hood and low-profile mirrors.

After spirited bidding that electrified the block, Dave Flynn of Columbiana, Ohio, won the factory-special Mustang. Auctioned at no reserve, proceeds will benefit the Henry Ford Health System non-profit organization, founded by Henry Ford to support the Edith and Benson Ford Heart and Vascular Institute.

“Watching the car cross the block in support of Henry Ford Health System was very rewarding,” says Sandy Hudson, chief development officer for the organization. “Dave Flynn did much more than just purchase a new car. His purchase will help so many people get access to healthcare.”
