Touchscreen infotainment systems fitted to cars nowadays aren`t very good, and even those fitted to expensive cars, which you’d expect would benefit from the latest and best technologies aren`t as good as they could be - not by a long shot.
Ford has had problems with its MyFord Touch (and MyLincoln Touch) systems ever since it was first introduced, and while the updates they released later helped improve the functionality and speed of the system, customers are still dissatisfied with it.
To keep the customers happy, Ford has released yet another major update for the system. Known as version 3.5, it corrects a number of complaints reported by owners, and with it, Ford is extending the warranty for the system to five years for MyFord Touch and six years for MyLincoln Touch.
Owners of compatible cars will be able to download the update (or get it by mail) in the next few months, while owners of hybrids will have to wait until the latter part of Q1 2013 to get the update.
