Giorgio Girelli, 53, was appointed as MV Agusta's new Vice Executive President today.
Girelli comes with a solid background in marketing operations, having occupied the position of CEO and then President for the Banca Generali, between 2000 and 2012, helping set it up and launching it to success.

Previously Girelli spent 15 years as an international-level management consultant for Roland Berger, so his expertise in high-potential international markets recommends him for the actual position, a MV Agusta press release says.

Giorgio Girelli's passion for motorcycles is yet another reason for the high hopes MV Agusta has for the next 3 years, as they aim to double the sales and even list the company on the Stock Exchange, as Giovanni Castiglioni, the Varese company's President added.

After the solid growth MV Agusta saw in 2012 (+86.5% in sales and +49.5% in revenue), 2013 is also showing double-digit increase in operations, and it looks like we could soon see the Varese manufacturer going public really soon.
