Before anything else let us warn you this is not a joke, this one of 500 ever created special edition Mini ‘Rose’  did actually belong to the renown Egyptian millionaire. Sure, it wasn’t wearing that Leopard print when it used to be parked in his driveway and we’re not even sure he ever drove it himself. Point is, it’s going under the hammer and judging by the price, even a student could try biding for it.
In 2013, Fayed’s wealth was estimated at $1.4 billion, which made him the 1,031st-richest person in the world. Best known as the Chairman of Hotel Ritz in Paris, Al-Fayed formerly owned Harrods Department Store, Knightsbridge and Fulham F.C.

We’re assuming this was one of the cheapest unit of the businessman’s car collection, yet still it's remains a one of a kind. The limited edition Mini was purchased by the current vendor from Barrow Green Court, the Al-Fayeds’ country estate in Oxted, Surrey in August 2012.

Like we said, the leopard paint was not always there, in fact the Mini got it in 1999 at a custom shop, exactly after one of the businessman’s daughters requirements. However, it appears she barely drove it as the Mini spent most of its existence stored and maintained as part of the Al-Fayed collection.

Powered by a standard 998 cc engine, the inside of the car comes with a rev counter and a cigarette lighter, both fitted during the Al-Fayed ownership. The interior is unmarked and retains its original radio/cassette player, which still works.

Part of a long tradition of bespoke Minis produced for celebrity owners, the car will go under the hammer at Goodwood Members’ Meeting Sale, on March 21, and is expected to fetch between £3,000 - 4,000 ($4,484 - $5,978).
