MINI’s first ever two-seater convertible has finally hit the global market, and to create hype, the BMW sub-brand is sending it on the usual adventure in the unlikeliest of places. A couple of smartly-dressed guys find themselves in a precarious situation, as the Roadster is dangling off the edge of what looks like a drawbridge.
The video is done in the usual MINI style, looking like a trailer for the latest Hangover movie. We’ll remind you that the MINI Roadster is on offer in four flavors. Three petrol versions come in the form of 1.6-liter four-cylinder engines, with outputs ranging from 122 hp for the base model to 211 for the JCW. There’s also a 2.0-liter diesel available in the SD.
Editor’s note: Won’t retracting the wing bring it closer to the center of gravity, making the back end ‘lighter’. They would have been far better of by playing with downforce in the video.
