MINI joined the record-breaking sales club too in September after the BMW Group posted the best ever sales for the 9th month of a year in its history. The sales of British engineered cars grew by 2.5 percent last month, adding up to a total of 31,313 worldwide.
Last year, during the same reference month, sales added up to 30,563 for the MINI brand. The biggest growth was recorded in the US (8.3 percent) with Japan on second place (5.7 percent) and Mainland China (+4.1 percent) on third place.
Even though the European markets are still recovering after the financial crisis and are not registering any sale growth, overall for the first 9 months of the year, the MINI sales grew by 0.5 percent, adding up to a total of 224,280 units (223,214 units in 2012).
