Riding on the unexpected good results of the BMW Group in the US, the MINI Brand vehicles pulled together and posted the best August in the company's history on US soil.
The total number of MINI vehicles sold in the USA in August reached 6,023 units, growing by 5.3 percent compared to last year's 8th month, when the same company sold only 5.718 units.
On a year-to-date basis, MINI sales in the US grew 1.6 percent from the beginning of the year, adding up to 44,329 units sold, compared to the 43,632 one sold in the same period of 2012.
As for the pre-owned vehicles in the MINI range, the sales recorded an all-time high for August also: 2,182 automobiles were sold through the company's NEXT system, 23 percent up from the 1,774 units sold in August 2012.
The impressive increase in sales can also be seen in the year-to-date numbers for 2013, as the MINI pre-owned cars sold in the first 8 months add up to 14,480 units compared to 12,015 for the same period of last year, a 20.5 percent increase.
