Since the Mini Cooper S JCW, in its standard form wasn’t faster than the Renault Clio RS, Mini are bringing out a limited edition car, called the GP, of which, only 2,000 will be made. It reportedly went around the 'Ring in 8:23, which is a whopping 19 seconds better than the old GP.
Well, now it is faster than the Clio, and considerably so, getting 5 extra horsepower over the standard GP, while losing its back seat for weight reduction. Factor in the nearly-race-spec suspension, brakes and aerodynamic upgrades and the new GP looks like a very serious front-wheel drive machine.
