MINI will launch the base Cooper version of the new Coupe in Australia for AUD $34,900. This car comes with a lot less power from its naturally aspirated engine, but it also undercuts the Cooper S by an impressive AUD $8000.
The Coupe is equipped with a 90 kW (122 hp) engine that also puts out 160 Nm of torque (118 lb-ft). It will get you from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and will go on to 216 km/h (134 mph).
Standard equipment includes a six-speed manual gearbox, Standard features in the new Cooper variants include 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, climate control, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity.
