Mercedes has just revealed its most sumptuous and luxurious wagon ever, the CLS Shooting Brake. But the bad news is, US customers will likely never get to sample this machine, as the German company deems there is little demand for it there.
While there’s no use crying over spilled milk, we can’t help but feel a little bit saddened about the news that neither the regular version nor the AMG will be available. In Europe, the CLS Shooting Brake will go on sale in October, offering a choice of four engines, two petrol and two diesel.
The petrol range offers the choice of either a 306 PS V6 or a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 with 408 PS, while the diesel range is made up of a base model with 204 PS and a more powerful V6 with 265 PS. These will be followed early next year by the AMG version with a 5.5-liter twin-tubo V8.
