Mercedes AMG Launches the Ice Luge

It seems that winter fever took command of Mercedes AMG. After helping us to create unique snowflakes, it now brings to our playful attention a winter game that doesn't hesitate to promote two of the brand's vehicles: C63 and SL 63.

Using a Mercedes car as a bobsleigh down the AMG ice course is surely an interesting idea. In fact, all you have to do is choose your vehicle, hit the gas and you can start the adventure. We might as well think that wintry need for speed is the middle name of the AMG game as its goal would be to achieve the best time possible through the twists and turns of the course.

But being on the first rank is not as easy as it seems because in case you hit the top of the wall will enact a +3 second penalty. And that's not quite the only penalty you get: if you fail to stop within the end of track “stop box” will cost you another 5 seconds which will be completely disastrous if you aim to have your name among the highest scores on the web site. In fact, your total score will be composed of the race time plus the penalties you get.

Moreover,  AMG created 2 in-track time checkpoints just to help you have a sense of your time on the track. As for the two Mercedes cars available in the game, you should know both of them are equipped with special Ice Luge snow tires and provide excellent control on ice at high speeds.

Yet one of them is rather unusual for winter sport games. Using an open car (see SL 63 AMG) for wintry adventures is at least as weird as using a car as bobsleigh although the last one could hide a subtle allusion to how good Mercedes vehicles are during winter time.

However, don't be fooled by the virtual Swiss mountains-like landscape and don't attempt to imitate the experience in the real world...
