Mercedes Sabotaged By Its workers

A shocking news came up in a german newspaper, which stated that employees at a Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen are under investigation for deliberately producing defective cars.

According to Sueddeutsche Zeitung, prosecutors say that numerous workers manipulated vehicles, so that repair shops, which are not part of the company would fix them. The employers that were part of the quality control department had received expensive gifts and tips, for sabotaging the vehicles. They scratched cars, put liquid into the brakes and even loosened some bolts.

The prosecutors say that Daimler AG is not involved in any way in this whole scenario, and the cost of repairs would be immense but we can only hope that Mercedes restores its quality to the levels that made it the best in the world.

This is not the first time that Mercedes had problems with the reliability of their products. Twelve years ago, Mercedes decided to raise their profits and lower the quality of their cars, because it was thought they were over engineered.

After a decision that turned out to be bad on a long term, Mercedes started to drop its quality until some of them ended up being called unreliable. One example is the C-Class (W203) built between 2000 and 2004. Today the company tries to restore their lost image by promising better cars and better reliability figures.
