There have been quite a lot of reports about the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) in recent weeks, both official and unofficial, but none of them included the sports car while it is being hooned on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Always happy to oblige when something like this happens, our friends at TouriClips recently uploaded their latest footage of the model on the Green Hell.

While the car is most likely not being driven to its limits, it does seem to haul a lot of behind both on the straights and into the corners, but it's also looking mighty composed when tackling those technical curves on the Nordschleife.

As most of you know, the AMG GT is about a couple of months away from being officially revealed, with Mercedes-AMG themselves setting up a special website where teasers with the model will be released on a weekly basis.

Its public launch will take place at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October, but the AMG GT will apparently only reach showrooms in March of 2015 for some reason.

Powered by an all-new four-liter V8 with two twin-scroll turbochargers, the new sports car is coming to tackle model like the Porsche 911, the Jaguar F-Type Coupe and even the Aston Martin Vantage, but its powertrain is most likely suited for the top of the range variants of the aforementioned models.

With around 500 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque at its disposal in the “regular” model, which are sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed transaxle transmission with a dual clutch, the AMG GT will most likely hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in well under four seconds in standard guise.
