Do you remember the C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition that Mercedes-AMG introduced almost one and a half years ago? It's finally on sale in Australia, where interested parties must hurry up and place a deposit, as the company says it is available in limited numbers.
The special edition right-hand drive electrified sports sedan features a few extras that are otherwise unavailable to the regular one. Some of the highlights include the Alpine Gray paint finish signed by Manufaktur, the three-pointed star's personalization division, AMG foiling, red accents on the lower parts of the body, and 20-inch AMG alloys in matte black with a red touch, matching the F1 Medical Car's, the GT 63 S E Performance, styling.

Targeting those who feel the need to pay more for a car that doesn't offer any extra bang, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition also features the Night Package I, which is standard on the regular model featuring high-gloss accents on certain components, and adds the Night Package II. The latter brings dark chrome elements and a few other special touches, contributing to the car's rare stance.

Black dominates the cockpit and is sprinkled with a touch of red. The latter contributes to the sporty look and joins the exclusive carbon trim with a red thread, Nappa leather upholstery, Dinamica microfiber, red decorative top stitching, AMG emblems on the door sills backlit in red, specific floor mats, and a few other things that should be appreciated by the Affalterbach brand's fanbase and eventually replicated to some extent on other models.

As we already told you, the C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition is an all-show with no extra-go. This means it retains the regular car's firepower with no boost, which would've been a welcomed addition. But fret not, fellow petrolheads, as this sports sedan is already very powerful despite packing a modest four-pot. In fact, it is punchier than one of its biggest rivals in the segment, the BMW M3, which stays true to the six-banger recipe (for now, anyway).

The 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is assisted by an electric motor mounted at the rear. According to the spec sheet, the driver enjoys 670 horsepower (680 ps/500 kW) combined and a whopping 752 pound-foot (1,020 Nm) of torque every time they push the right pedal to the floor. Despite boasting impressive power levels, the C 63 is not impressively fast, as it is also quite heavy. Thus, it will max out at 174 mph (280 kph) and reach 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.4 seconds.

Mercedes-AMG is accepting orders for the C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition in Australia, stating that it adds AU$14,900 (US$9,745) to the recommended retail price of the regular one, which is set at AU$187,900 (US$122,885). Thus, customers are looking at a minimum of AU$202,800 (equal to US$132,630).
