If you have never thought of the Chevrolet Suburban as an intimidating beast that forces you to move out of the way when you see it in your rearview mirror, now is the time to change your mind. Meet the Jackal, the SUV that PaxPower Performance turned into a bully on and off the road.
Therefore, the Jackal comes with an extra 3 inches of lift. The lift makes room for 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires wrapped around 20-inch Fuel wheels. It is a package that the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban can be equipped with, as well as the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, plus the Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV.

How did it end up looking like this? PaxPower installed new tubular control arms and 2.5-inch coilovers sourced from off-road specialist firm King Shocks, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, or Fox Racing, depending on what the owner of the SUV goes for. The mod can bring approximately 3 inches (76 millimeters) of lift up front and an extra inch (25 millimeters) at the rear.

The team could not stay away from the engine bay. The models powered by the 6.2-liter V8 engine can get the 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, adding around 7.5 to 8 psi of boost for all those who feel that the stock figures are not enough. It takes the output from the standard 420 horsepower (426 metric horsepower) and 460 pound-feet of torque all the way to 650 horsepower (660 metric horsepower) and 650 pound-feet (880 Newton meters) of torque.

PowerPax Performance claims that it has as much power as the Cadillac Escalade V. However, the figures of the Escalade V are different since it rolls off the production line with 682 horsepower (691 metric horsepower) and 653 pound-feet (884 Newton meters).

But what PaxPower offers is way more than just a blower. Regardless of the output, a Borla dual exhaust system brings along the extra drama of a road and off-road bully. Meanwhile, a six-piston Brembo Big Brake Kit from GM Performance adds some stopping power to match the extra oomph.

And wait, there is more. PaxPower also offers AMP retractable running boards to make ingress and egress easier since the SUV is lifted to the sky.

To let everything know that there is something special about the vehicle they are driving, owners can also opt for exterior graphics, with the black badging included. Furthermore, a custom interior is also part of the plan if the customer wants it.

The Chevy Suburban in the photos comes with black leather upholstery covering the seats, dashboard, and center console, sporting contrasting red accents and white stitching.

PaxPower offers several different upgrade packages with the list starting at $15,000.

Back in 2019, we reported about the Chevy Silverado going through a similar treatment from PaxPower.
