Ever the dynamic company, McLaren has just announced its 9th retailer in Europe is going to be opened in Scotland in late 2014. A full-spec showroom in Glasgow will have everything customers will need if they decide the 650S is the supercar for them.
This is only the latest step in an expansion which has gone pretty much without fault over the past 3 years. Starting with the MP2-12C, the British company has reinvented itself into one of the biggest players in the supercar market and has continuously evolved its turbocharged model.

Moving into Glasgow seems like a natural step for the company, the Scott's capital being just 400 miles from the factory in Woking, Surrey, that has been cranking out 12Cs. A short 6 hour drive and the latest coupes and spiders could be delivered. If only waiting lists were that short!

David Brimson, European Director for McLaren Automotive added: ‘The addition of McLaren Glasgow to the retail network is another key step in our growth plan in Europe. Park’s Motor Group are joining us with strong knowledge and experience and is a leading name in the luxury cars market.”

Construction of the facility will completed later this year, with an official inauguration planned for December. However, a temporary sales facility is already in place and will be operated by Park’s Motor Group, located close to Glasgow city center (14 Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0AY).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
