We have to kick off this tale by reminding you that drifting is officially forbidden during Nurburgring Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) events, due to the obvious safety reasons. However, this doesn't mean that all drivers keep the tail in check.
Of course, since it can be rather difficult for the track officials to tell apart the accidental slides from the on-purpose drifting, most slip angle players get away with their hooning.

And with the 2018 season now over (the Ring has closed its gates for the winter earlier this season), we've brought along a complication that showcases plenty of sideways stunts that took place on the Green Hell this year.

It's no surprise that the McLaren 720S slide that kicks off the video caught our eye. The shenanigan took place in the wet, with this Macca being a rental car.

The adventure took place in the Brunnchen 2 corner, with the track being soaking wet. As such, the aficionado behind the wheel long the apex (no pun intended - check out the video and you'll understand) behind before attempting to drift.

In fact, we can see the brake lights suddenly flashing after the supercar goes sideways and those might just be the electronics stepping in to keep the whole thing in check.

Regardless, the McLaren 720S delivers a respectable effort, as you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

We have to mention that many of the stunts seen here are small slides (smaller than what the Macca delivered), with this being pulled in the wet, as well as in the dry.

Then again, the clip also includes a drift that looks like a pro effort, with serious slip angles and tons of smoke. You'll find this at the 8:37 point of the video, with the E30 BMW that put on a show demonstrating the sideways path through Brunnchen.
