A few years ago, Maserati was in a big slump due to bad management, worsening reliability and a model lineup that failed to deliver what customers wanted. However, recent years saw the Italian marque reinvent itself thanks to Sergio Marchionne's guidance, thus managing to increase both its appeal and sales volume.
With June results closing the first half of 2014, the Italian exotica manufacturer reports that it has exceeded sales records yet again. The House of the Trident announces that 134 vehicles have been sold in the United Kingdom in the previous month alone, confirming that the U.K. is still one of the top European markets

In the first six months of 2014, Brits have bought no less than 564 Maseratis, translating to a 223 percent increase compared to the same period last year. A few other Euro countries are worth highlighting, namely Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. These markets pushed 564 automobiles this June, representing a 414 percent average increase compared to June 2013.

As far as global sales are concerned, Maserati reported a 228.5 percent increase from the year-ago period. Just the former month, North America moved 1,105 units compared to the mere 309 automobiles sold in the the same month of 2013. Anyway you look at it, these figures tell that Ferrari's little brother has come back in great style.

Speaking of style, the good times have returned for the Italian marque thanks to the all-new generations of the luxurious flagship known as the Quattroporte and the executive Ghibli sedan, while only the GranTurismo is credited as the grandpa of the lineup. Nevertheless, the automaker informs that the addition of a diesel powerplant on both the Quattroporte and Ghibli helped greatly with the sales volume of the sporty saloons.
